St James’s Market

Presented by The Crown Estate and Oxford Properties, this film follows Studio Swine’s project for St James’s Market: a unique series of public furniture celebrating local craftsmanship. At its centre are four bench designs, each dedicated to a trade still practised in St James’s — shirtmaking, shoemaking, pipe making and tie making. The film also features the colourful St James’s Market chairs and stools, inspired by the looms historically used to weave silk for shirtmaking.
